blog post #5 presidential qualities

One president quality that catches my attention is John F. Kennedy's great looks. He knew how to make his image stand out and please the crowd with charm. No matter what he could of smiled and they would of applauded. He was a crowd "pleaser" and his popularity shown. This quality aloud him to when his election against his opponent. While his opponent was sweating during his speach JFK presented his without even breaking his posture or composure.

Another presidential quality I enjoyed was Obama's way of change. He delivered his speech for his presidency and was labeled as an era it's time for a change. People fell in love with this especially since he is the first black president. He even brought forth the Obama Care Act.

One more president quality was Nixon's cunning and deceiving ability. I loved how he persuaded and deceived people to get what he wants. One event that everyone remembers and what made him resign before impeached is the "Watergate" issue. Plus he recorded every conversation he had.

Michael Watkin's Civil Rights Blog #4

Christianity is a dying religion in this world. People have fallen away from God's word and it is sad. There are so many sinners in this world today that it is becoming common and no one cares. What happened to tradition? People work on Sunday, they commit adultery, sleep with the same sex, marry the same sex, and they disobey God's Law or the "Ten Commandments" as some people know it as.

They took prayer out of school but they teach evolution to kids and changing their views. Kids are becoming atheistic and no one cares. They teach them to do bad things. Christian's are fighting this all the time trying to teach kids about God's word and save them but we aren't allowed due to school education laws. It's not fair to Christians if they cant teach it when teachers can teach evolution. They have this law called the Equality Law or Equal Access Law to allow church groups or religious groups to use school facilities for religious practices as long as other groups are using it. Their are cases on this issue as such as Good News Club v. Milford Cent. Sch., Rosenberger v. Rector and Visitors of Univ. of Virginia, and Lamb's Chapel v. Ctr. Moriches Union Free Sch. Dist.

blog #3 my civil liberty

The second amendment is the right to bear arms. I love to express my civil liberty of bearing arms through owning my weapons and shooting them whenever I please. My right shall not be taken from me and even when ammunition goes up I'll still express it but with less shots. Besides I reload my own shells.

The second amendment was made by America's fore fathers along with all the other amendment they made our civil liberties and we have the right to express it. I express my civil liberty every time I go out after picking up one my guns to go hunting. America was made on rights and civil liberties and we wouldn't be where we are today without weapons. Even though Obama wants to ban weapons he is a retard and doesn't realize if it wasn't for our fore fathers as civilians picking up our weapons to help in the war way back then to help in the war we wouldn't be were we are today and he especially wouldn't have his black butt in office especially if our fore fathers was alive today.

gun control blog #2

This cartoon shows the issue on gun control. It debates whether or not it's a bad idea and shows it is a bad idea. It uses words to describe the people. It shows a criminal and a law-abiding citizen before and after gun control.

With visual representation in the before picture it shows a farmer with a shot gun in one hand and a pistol in his pocket, while a criminal is standing next to him with a frown on his face holding a pistol.

In the after picture it shows a farmer without guns at all and the criminal next to him holding a pistol smiling at the farmer.

No matter what in this world even with all the gun controls and banned laws on guns bad things that were going to happen will happen its nature. There are bad people in this world, don't punish us for their crimes. If you take away our guns we have no protection. People need to remember guns don't kill people it's people that kill people.

My Political Life

My political life so far isn't much of anything. I recently started taking an interest in politics when I turned 18. My grandma and mom signed me up for a voters registration card and signed me up as a democrat just like the rest of my family.

I took this class so I could learn more about politics and whatever else I could learn about the government. I took this over regular civics classes because this one goes more in depth to what I need to know before I start making decisions on voting.

I don't know much about politics. So I really never had any involvement in any type of government politics or policies. But my mom and grandparents vote and they follow the Democratic party. That's as close as I get to politics besides listening in on what's happening to our government on T.V. about things that are affecting us for the worst. Things like gun and ammo control and that thing about gay marriage being passed in a lot of states. Things like this should never be allowed to happen.
